Eric Libardoni

Eric Libardoni won the Dede Stolte Cup and Wally Carlson Award in 2000. He was named to the Burlington Free Press and Vermont High School First Team All-Defensive Team as a Defensive Back in 1999, was selected as an alternate to the 2000 Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Team and played in the North-South Vermont All-Star Game, was selected to play in the All- Star Hockey Game between VT and NH and was selected to play in the Twin State All-Star Baseball between VT and NH. Eric is one of six people selected to the 2000 Vermont Scholar-Athletes by the state chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.

 

During his high school career, he was a member of the 1999 Vermont Baseball Championship team, was a member of the 1997 and 1999 Semi- final football teams. He was a two-time captain of the BUHS hockey team in 1999-00.

Eric’s success continued at St. Michael’s College where he was two-time captain of the baseball team in 2004-05. He was named to the St. Michael’s all-time baseball roster in 2003-2005. He is a career .352 hitter (tied for 5th

in school history) and .916 fielder. In the record books at St. Michael’s College he appears as the 7th best season batting average of .412, 9th best career slugging percentage at .477, 4th best on-base percentage at .478, 5th best on-base percentage in a season at .538, 5th in career runs scored at 77, 2nd in runs scored in a season at 36, tied for 10th in career stolen bases at 16, 10th in career assists at 158 and tied for 9th in season assists with 78.

As a coach at BUHS he led the Colonel hockey team to the 2021 Division II State Championship and was named Division II Coach of the Year. Eric has coached the Brattleboro Post 5 American Legion baseball team to State Championships in 2016 and 2019.
